Murder Lounge

mur.der- .slang. To defeat decisively     lounge- to stand, sit or lie in a relaxed way

Born in the darkest corner of Fountain in Miami 2008, the outlaw offspring of the Leo Kesting Gallery, Murder Lounge offers the underground view to the alternative art environment that Fountain allows, it is the hard line to that cutting edge. The art is bold and fresh, products of the art collective known as “Team Murder”, walls are hung salon style to amplify the power of the artists as they hang their works and work together. The idea is create a place for people to come and view the art in a cool and relaxed manner with no uptight pretenses. We make Art for the People by the People. The artists are always on hand to interact with the audience, feel free to ask them about their or another one of “Team Murder’s” works and prepare to be thoroughly entertained and informed. The Murder lounge not only supports the idea of Fountain but we actually put skin in the game. We exist because Fountain exists so Team Murder helps build and destroy the gallery space that the Fountain Art Fair creates, a place for new artists and galleries to bring new art to the people. We build it up, we break it down.
